Prior to joining KLS in 2023, Jeff gained over 25 years of experience in patent litigation and patent preparation and prosecution at two Minneapolis, Minnesota boutique law firms.  He has represented many large corporate clients, as well as smaller companies and individual inventors, and has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications.  His knowledge gained from significant patent litigation experience early in his career has helped him to serve his clients most effectively in his patent preparation and prosecution practice.  Jeff practices in the technology fields of semiconductors, digital and analog electronic circuits, circuit design and fabrication, computer hardware and software, artificial intelligence, distributed computing environments, medical devices, and storage systems.

Personal:

Outside the office, Jeff maintains an active lifestyle (running, weightlifting, golfing, and playing softball).  He loved coaching his son’s basketball and baseball teams for many years, as well as traveling around the country to watch his daughter compete at the elite level in USA Gymnastics.  Jeff also occasionally has a chance to enjoy some more relaxing activities, including long walks with his wife, fishing at his family’s lake cabin in Minnesota, and reading books.
